Things you should take care when visiting China

Taking a trip to China is sure to be very great and exciting due to a lot of great and beautiful sceneries as well as many amazing and different culture and traditions there. However, if you do not prepare carefully in advance for your trip to China, you can face a lot of difficulties and troubles. Therefore, some little advices and knowledge on China is very crucial for a great and convenient journey to the most crowded nation on earth.

The very important note you should take is the problem about the air pollution there in China. I am sure that many of you have ever tuned in CNN or BBC and seen a lot of awful pictures of Beijing the capital of China blanketed by the dust and air pollution. People on the streets have to wear masks to protect themselves from breathing dust. People are also advised to stay indoors for their health. Of course, that is so stupid because we are tourist and the only aim of us when go to the country is to visit and see the beautiful landmarks and constructions there. How can we stay indoors? If you want to find out more about this issue, please visit this link of Ancient china.

Food is also a very important and interesting parts of any journeys. Indeed, there is a very unique and special cuisine culture in China. Like many other parts of the world, especially in Asia, there are two types of food venues for you to enjoy in China. the first one id restaurant food and the second one is street food. Interestingly, if you used to or at least had a chance to enjoy a specific kind of Chinese food like Kung Pow Chicken from a Chinese restaurant in the US, you will find the taste of the chicken in China totally different from the chicken you were served in the US. In fact, the taste is also very different in the country itself when you enjoy the same food in different locations and restaurants.

The next very interesting kind of food in China is the street food. The great things about the street food is that they are as delicious as but much cheaper than the same food in restaurants. However, the cheapness also implies to be more careful with the street food. Indeed, the big problem of street food is safety. Many people have suffered from poisoning because of bad quality street foods. Therefore, it is better for you to keep away from street food or at least make a thorough search or have guidance from people when you want to taste and enjoy the street food in China. However, I have to admit myself that the street food there is very great and the atmosphere is also very special.

An overview about Chinese philosophy

It is said that the traditional philosophy of Chinese people stems from the two main eras of so-called the Spring and Fall era and Wars amongst States era. During these two important eras, there was period of Hundred Schools of Thought that experienced a lot of new philosophies and schools of thought in China. Having said that, it is believed that the ground or elements for Chinesephilosophy have existed far before those two eras of the Spring and Fall and Wars amongst States dating back to 700 BCE.

In spite of having a great number of philosophies and schools of thought, however, there are only seven main philosophies that have had great impacts on Chinese’ mindset and traditions until now. These philosophies and schools of thought are named as the following: Confucianism, Daoism, Legalism, Naturalists, Mohism, Logicians and Agriculturalists. In the post today, I would like to give you a brief overview about two of those ideologies and schools of thought of Chinese people – Confucianism and Daoism that are considered as the most influential ones.

The first important philosophy that have had a great impact on Chinese people is the Confucianism. Many people and historians from the other nations especially from the West even consider this philosophy of Confucianism as the national religion of China. especially, the Confucianism also has a far reaching influence when it used to be the main philosophy in some other surrounding nations of China like Vietnam, Japan and Korea. The philosophy embraces a wide range of issues like humanity, loyalty, rituality and ruling. One of the most featured concepts of Confucianism is the idea to give up the two ends and get the middle in order to reconcile the opposites and take the best of the two as the middle.

The second philosophy developed in China is the Daoism. Daoism was developed by LaoZi. The philosophy then has turned out to be one of the main religions in China. The word of Dao in Daoism means path. However, different from the Confucianism, Daoism does not talk a lot about the path for a person to become a good or moral one. Instead, the religion of Daoism focuses more on physical and natural forces that affect invisibly and mysteriously on human being and the whole universe and then find out the best ways to harmonize between men and nature. Therefore, the main point in Daoism is to live harmoniously with the nature because it is believed that the more endeavors of men to make the word better, the worse the world is.
